Specialty cleaning is a broad label, not a standard checklist. Different providers use it for different kinds of work. Before booking, describe the condition of the space, the surfaces involved and the result you need. The useful question is whether the provider has agreed to that exact work, not whether the service has an impressive name.
What is specialty cleaning and what does it include?
The term usually refers to work outside a routine cleaning visit. That might involve more detailed attention to accessible interior surfaces or a task that needs a separate specialist. A service label alone does not establish the equipment, training or qualifications of the people coming to your property.
Start with the work your space actually needs
For a home, list the rooms and the buildup that need attention. For an office, identify restrooms, breakrooms, meeting rooms, entrances and accessible work surfaces. If the work involves a delicate material or a condition beyond ordinary surface cleaning, explain that before the quote is prepared.
Routine maintenance, a detailed residential visit and cleaning after a property transition can have different priorities. Ask what is included and which additional tasks must be agreed separately. Do not assume that every service under a broad category is available from the same company.
Choose the scope, then the frequency
Recurring cleaning helps you keep up with everyday use of the space. A more detailed appointment can focus on particular areas that need extra time. The right choice depends on the current condition and the upkeep you can manage between visits.
For a busy household in Bellevue or Redmond, a clear recurring plan may be more useful than repeatedly booking a broad one-time package. An office in Kirkland may need a different schedule based on occupancy, access and which areas are used most often.
Agree expectations before the appointment
Compare estimates by the work listed, team size, minimum charge and billing method. Confirm the scope and any additional charges before the appointment.
Questions to ask a provider
- Have you agreed to the exact surfaces and tasks I described?
- What does the minimum charge cover?
- Is the rate for one person or for the entire team?
- How are additional priorities handled?
- What happens if I need to change the appointment?
Key takeaways
Service names vary. Compare written scopes, team size and pricing rather than assuming that two similarly named packages include the same work. For tasks outside ordinary cleaning, discuss the requirements with an appropriately qualified provider.
Keep the plan practical
A short list of priorities helps prevent misunderstandings. Start with the work that matters most, then discuss any extra tasks before the team arrives. The condition and size of the space affect the time needed. An estimate is not a promise that every possible task can be completed within a fixed number of hours.

Before you book
Can I request a specific product?
We use one standard line of professional cleaning products. We don’t supply a separate eco-friendly or pet-friendly product line. If you want a specific product used, please supply it and discuss it with the office before the visit. The team may decline products that aren’t suitable for the task or surface.
What should I include in an estimate request?
Include your city, the approximate size and current condition of the space, preferred frequency and the areas that need the most attention. The office can then discuss the scope and available appointments. For home visits, we send you a message when we’re on our way and another when the cleaning is finished.
