5 Questions to Ask Before Booking Recurring Cleaning in Seattle

A recurring cleaning service should fit how your household actually lives. Before you compare quotes, write down the areas that need the most attention, how often you want help and how the team will enter the home. Those details make the conversation more useful than a list of company rankings.

Table of Contents

1. What work is included in the visit?

Ask about kitchens, bathrooms, dusting, floors and accessible surfaces. Tell the company about extra priorities, such as an oven interior or detailed baseboard work, before the appointment. A useful quote identifies what matters most and gives the team a realistic plan for the time available.

For a busy home in Kirkland, Bellevue or Redmond, regular upkeep may matter more than completing every detailed task on every visit. The first appointment and the ongoing schedule can have different priorities. Discuss the home’s current condition rather than assuming a package title includes everything.

2. Is the rate for a cleaner or for the whole team?

Ask how many people are coming, what the minimum covers and how additional time is billed. An hourly price is difficult to compare if one quote is per person and another is for an entire team.

At Smart Cleaning Service, Regular, Deep and Move-In or Move-Out residential cleaning start at $180 for the first hour with a team of three. Additional time is billed at $180 per hour for the entire team, prorated at $3 per minute. The final amount depends on actual time and approved charges. This is not a flat-price promise for the whole home.

3. Which products will the team use?

Share any product preferences or concerns about delicate finishes before the visit. Product labels and surface suitability matter more than broad marketing terms.

We use one standard line of professional cleaning products. We don’t supply a separate eco-friendly or pet-friendly product line. If you want a specific product used, please supply it and discuss it with the office before the visit. The team may decline products that aren’t suitable for the task or surface.

4. Which frequency fits your household?

Weekly, biweekly and monthly cleaning serve different routines. Consider foot traffic, pets, household size and how much upkeep you can comfortably manage between visits. Your schedule should reflect the home, not a claim that one frequency is right for everyone.

For new recurring residential quotes from Smart Cleaning Service, weekly service receives a 15% discount, biweekly 10% and monthly 5%, beginning with the second cleaning. The discount applies to the first-hour minimum and additional time. The first cleaning uses the standard rate. Existing clients keep their previously agreed pricing.

5. What happens if plans change or an area needs attention?

Read the scheduling and service policies before you book. Recurring service does not require a long-term contract, but that is different from unlimited last-minute changes without a fee.

Please give Smart Cleaning Service at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. With less notice, cancellations, reschedules and no-access visits may be charged 50% of the scheduled service. If something was missed, tell us within 24 hours of your cleaning and we will come back and re-clean that area at no charge, scheduled at the next available time.

Compare the plan, not just the headline

A practical comparison starts with the same scope, team size and frequency. Ask each provider to explain its own terms rather than relying on an undated ranking or an assumed review count. Keep written confirmation of your priorities, access instructions and approved appointment.
